The hospital that was the nexus of several storylines in the flash-sideways in Season 6 was the Nuuanu location of the Rehabilitation Hospital of the Pacific (226 North Kuakini Street). Jack and Juliet worked there, and patients included Claire, Locke, Sun, and Sayid’s brother. Visitors included Kate, Sawyer, Sayid, Nadia, Helen, and David. The location was also used to portray the care home where Anthony Cooper lived (“The Candidate, Ep. 6×14). (continue reading…)
Sacred Hearts Academy

One of the final scenes of “LOST,” in which most of the characters came together in the flash-sideways before “moving on” (Ep. 6×17, “The End”), was filmed inside the St. Margaret Mary Chapel at Sacred Hearts Academy (3253 Waialae Avenue) in Kaimuki. It was the same church where the “Lamp Post” station was hidden (Ep. 5×05, “This Place Is Death,” and Ep. 5×06, “316″). Makua Beach

The second to the last stretch of sand before Kaena Point, near the end of Farrington Highway on the westernmost edge of O‘ahu, Makua Beach is among the most remote locations used by “LOST.” It’s where the base of Jacob’s statue was built (“The Incident,” Ep. 5×16, “LA X,” Ep. 6×01). The rocky outcrop is known as Pōhaku Kula‘ila‘i, a sacred spot in Hawaiian lore, and also as “Pray for Sex” rock. (continue reading…)

The picturesque waterfront where Jin meets his father and tells him about Sun (“In Translation,” Ep. 1×17), and where Sun meets Jin’s father (“D.O.C.,” Ep. 3×18) is the Moli‘i Fishpond near Kualoa Regional Park. The spectacular estate of Sun’s father (“House of the Rising Sun,” Ep. 1×06) is the Byodo-In Temple, part of the Valley of the Temples (47-200 Kahekili Hwy).
