Hinano Street Home

The exterior of the home in Inglewood, California, where Miles goes to see Mrs. Gardiner to exorcise a spirit (“Confirmed Dead,” Ep. 4×02), is a private residence at 3008 Hinano St. According to LostLocations.com commenter “Andrew,” the downstairs interior was filmed at 3018 Hinano St., with the upstairs scene filmed at the Hawaii Film Studio.

YMCA Camp Erdman

“Othersville,” the suburban enclave of the DHARMA Initiative and subsequently the Others (first seen in “A Tale of Two Cities,” Ep. 3×01), is the YMCA’s Camp H.R. Erdman (69-385 Farrington Hwy.) on the North Shore. The camp became a major set for Season 5, and appeared in several episodes depicting different time periods. The YWCA welcomes visitors and has signage offering parking for “LOST” fans, but asks that photos not be taken of children or other guests.

Police Beach

Police Beach is among the most iconic and most used locations on “LOST.” It’s the home of the survivors’ beach camp as seen beginning halfway through the first season through season six. The shore itself, like all beaches in Hawaii, is open to the public, but the set becomes private property at the vegetation line. There is often signage and temporary fencing marking the nebulous property line.

Getting There

The only way the public can reach the Police Beach set is by walking along the beach from either Haleiwa Beach Park to the west or Papailoa Beach to the east. I recommend the latter. Turn onto Papailoa Road from Kamehameha Highway. About 800 feet down this dead-end residential street, there will be a dirt parking area on the left, across from a “public right-of-way” access path to the beach on the right. Park there, walk down the access path to the beach, then head left or west along the shore about 1,000 feet.
